Here's why this exists
Let's get real. Everything is online and friendships have started to become "digital friendships". It makes finding our community even harder. Our parents and grandparents had true communities, plus they all lived close together. That's not our reality. Our friends have moved all over the world and it's not a bad thing. It just makes our communities more unique.
So that's why I've created the CE Crew. It's because community looks different for us and we all need one. This space is for us all to drop the pretenses, be ourselves, and form genuine connections with other women. We need our girls alongside us as we navigate life. The CE Crew exists in an online platform but is built with monthly check-in video calls. There are also in-person meet ups throughout the year.
I''m also really big on finding your spark and living your life out loud. There are workshops and other resources for your own personal development journey. It's just a lot more fun with your friends by your side!
Oh hey, I'm Halle!
I started Captivatingly Empowered Retreats to originally be a pageant without the pageant. The sisterhood, fun events, and getting glammed up without any of the competition. I was getting ready to retire from competing and I was going to miss the friendships. It evolved from there to where it is now. A community for women to be themselves.
It's hard to make friends as an adult and to find genuine people. This world of social media and everything being digital, makes it harder. It makes us feel like we are failing or that our friendships aren't good enough. News flash: a lot of what people "resonate" with on social media about friendships is complete crap and can make you feel more isolated. It devalues the effort that friendships take and can make you feel like what you have isn't enough. I will always say quality over quantity.
I created a community where you can find your people, find your spark, and live your life out loud. I don't think we do that enough or that it's always real. There's a lot of performing that goes on when it comes to social media. I've been challenging myself to live my life out loud and unapologetically.
My life can be chaotic (just like anyone's) but it can still be put together. Just because your life has some mess in it (or a lot) doesn't mean that you don't have it together. Honestly, it probably means you're having more fun! Life isn't perfect and it isn't meant to be. We're meant to find the joy in it.
So, hi! I'm Halle (hay-lee), a millennial DINK that is doing her best to form community, be a good friend, and live my life unapologetically. My husband and I love to travel, our dog usually comes with us. I love a good crafting hobby, girls nights, and reading in my pjs.
I promise to share what I've learned with you, no gatekeeping over here. There have been a lot of women that have invested in me over the years with their time and mentorship. I also have some amazing friends that shared their wisdom too. There's also the things I learned the hard way or just by experience.
Life is messy, why not find the joy in that and share with those who matter?
